Criticism and Controversy
Family guy has been accused many times for politically, sexually or socially inappropriate content. There has been many attempts to Cancel/Ban Family guy usually by religious or social groups that feel Family guy is "Ruining the Value of Family life" and is "Showing children inappropriate content".

Many people who on the contrary enjoy the show answer to that criticism with the simple answer of "The responsibility relies with the parents to let their children watch the show" which is true. But the criticizers ignore that response because they do not want to look like "bad" or "irresponsible parents".
Family guy was canceled from FOX for a long period only 2 episodes into the second season. Family guy continued to create episodes which were randomly aired on various channels during its canceling from fox.
Family guy was renewed on FOX in 2005 with its episode "North by North Quahog".
